The only cheap ones I have (under $100.00) are Lew's and Okuna for my Crappie rigs and they are both nice reels. The bigger ones I have to use for Bass fishing are Shimano.

Shimano is a great brand and the stradic is an awesome reel but it is more expensive. I have had my fist stradic for 16 years still going strong and smooth as the day I bought it. I have one low end shimano nexave reels and there is a world of difference between the 2. For a low priced spinning reel I would go with the Plueger President. They hold up well and even handle my accidental short dips of them into the lake while trying to untangle my braid from the rod tip. I would definitely take the President over the nexave and I believe it cost less also.

I have two on Cabela's Fish Eagle rods that have put a ton of bass in my kayak on weightless soft plastics and in line spinners.

Daiwa has several reals in your price range that are good quality. I bought a Dawia Revros a couple of weeks ago for my crappie rod and it seems to be a good quality real for $50. There are a few more Daiwa models from $50-$100.
