If I want to hold out I try to think about baseball...or people stealing water. If you do that you can hold out for a good long while.

So I should still be working for $3.35 an hour? That was the deal I made in 1989.

This is how I feel. Players are treated as commodities. I don't have a problem with them wanting to renegotiate and holding out. It has nothing to do with their sense of loyalty to their team. It is a business and owners can cut guys for any reason. I'm all for guys holding out, negotiating more guaranteed money, etc. These guys are literally cutting their lives short by getting their heads smashed in. Don't get me wrong, I don't feel sorry or pity for them. The market has a way of correcting itself.

My mistake, I meant to write “Did you sign a contract?”

Care to explain ? I can see a little bit of a timing issue but that is about it, he just goes through the motions in camp , no contact, he never sees the field in pre season.

Conditioning & timing.

He was league rushing leader by over 100 yards. Not exactly the best argument against. IJS

Emmitt Smith won the rushing title in 1992 and helped the Cowboys win a Super Bowl and then held out in 1993 for a better contract. Sounds eerily similar to what Zeke is doing. It's what they do. Mo money. We all likes it.
