Anybody have a wading belt or pack they are very happy with? I am having trouble finding one that fits all my wants and needs. The latest I was using was simply a waist pack. It held everything pretty well, but would fill with water in the pouches when I got in deeper water, and over time the zippers would corrode.

The belts that look the best to me are very simple webbing with several hooks; however they don't have a pouch for a small tackle box. The ones that have a pouch are generally attached with Velcro that I am afraid of being ripped off in the surf.

Are there any good belts, or perhaps a pouch that can hold a small waterproof box that can attach to a belt?

Probably not going to be much help. I just use it to hold the net and stringer. Jig heads and plastics go in shirt pocket.

I use about the most basic one I can find. I buy one from Academy and strip most of the stuff off of it cept the pliers pouch. Don't use rod holder since I only carry one rod. Basically I wear one to be able to clip my donet to and bait bucket if I'm throwing live bait. Like Pat jig heads/plastics or hooks go in my shirt pocket. Rarely ever get far enough from the boat that I need to carry water.

I fully agree with simplifying. But I'm not out of a boat, so I carry a small waterproof plano box with terminal tackle. Just enough to re-tie a few breakoffs and switch from a popping cork to a bottom rig, with maybe a top water lure or spoon. I've got a little pouch that holds about 3 packs of plastics, but not room for the plano box.

Gotcha. I've seen some guys go all out and drag bout an 8' kids kayak with rod holders, cooler, bait bucket the works.

I�d just wear a vest with the belt for carrying stuff.

They do make a shoulder sling that you connect a waterproof Plano 3600 to or you can rig up your own with a belt. I can see that helping if you're not in a boat. Since I started fishing out of a yak all my wade fishing stuff just sits in a corner of my garage.

the best way to go in my opinion is with Hookset Marine Gear, they have shoulder strap wading boxes that drain water. there 6" wading belts i really like because you can suck them down tight and it is great back support. They have pliers holders, and stringers that all attach to the belt. as well as additional D rings for nets and boga grips.
