Hey guys I am kinda new to granbury. Not having any issue finding good channel cats but I am having no luck finding the blue cats........any tips or secret spots 😁

Welcome to Granbury! Get you a cast net and catch some shad. If you want yella cat, use a beetle spin and catch bluegill.

Yes we catch our own bait only use shad big enough to cut and we use live and cut perch....we constantly catch channel cats in th 8-10 lb range but I haven't caught a blue cat yet....maybe I am fishing wrong end if the lake

If you are catching 8-10 pound channel cats, I would stay where you are at. Maybe you are in the blues and just do not realize it.

I have fished Granbury for years and catch a lot of channel catfish to 10 lbs. or so. In all that time I have only caught 2 blue catfish. If you really want to target the big blues then the winter months would be best when the shad are holding on the flats right next to the deep river channel. Good spots to try would be around the HWY 51 bridge. There are lots of flatheads in Granbury right now. The lake is really coming back after the big golden algae kills that took place years ago.

Thanks for the info.......just love the way blue cats taste and would love to have some close to home with out having to drive a million miles to a good lake that has them
