No, that was a manatee... not a Hobie. roflmao

Fishing has been very good in Chokolosskee, Everglades National Park. Getting snook, trout, and redfish and Goliath grouper along with the usual jacks and sail cats. Shut the fishing down at 1:00 p.m. today as I needed to do laundry to get the salt life smelll out of some clothes. Almost every fish I've caught after the first day in Flamingo has been on a Red Magic Spinnerbait. May have to try it in the fresh water when I get home. Did some sightseeing today as this place was hit hard by Hurricane Irma, last September. Lots of folks fishing here, much more than Flamingo. There must have been 10 kayakers on the water this morning as this is only 35 miles from Naples, Florida and this seems to be their go to place.

Got this pic from drone video of Choko after the hurricane but it does show the area I've been fishing. The Gulf of Mexico is 3 miles in the distance. I used to ride the current to the outside, fish until the tide came back in and the paddle back with the current. Wrong times of day to do it this week without having to paddle against the current so I'm staying within a couple of miles of Choko.

Back at it again in the morning... looking for big snook.

Always nice to see one of these swing by.

Goliath Grouper, I've never caught so many as this year. Hard to believe they can grow to well over 500 lbs and scientist believe they can live between 50 and 100 years.
