Family is planning a camping trip to stillhouse in August. I’ve never fished it, is it worth it to pull the boat from Houston this time of year?

I would. Top water action is picking now. By Aug. shad will be lager and the schooling action should be good.

Stillhouse is beautiful lake. You'll also be literally 15 mins from Belton. Very clear water lakes

I have a pair of Costa sunglasses in about 30ft of water on Stillhouse. PM for the coordinates if you have some scuba gear
