So next year Imma turning the big 50. Seem's like it some right of passage to do something flamboyant and over the top which, I really don't care. It's just another day. The sun will rise, the sun will set.
Been thinking about taking a cruise to the eastern Caribbean and seeing some of the Islands and cays I've always wanted... St. Maarten and Maho beach, Turks and Ciacos, stuff like that. Going to save the Fiji
Islands for retirement. I dated this one Spanish lady who through a huge party for herself on her 50th and I'm thinking wow. Huge party for something you had nothing to do with but squeeze out of a...
She was extremely proud of herself, to say the least.
So what kind of things have us olds done for your milestone events? Although the cruise sounds fantastic, volunteering with the local Habitat for Humanity or Meals on Wheels sounds much more fulfilling. I would do the Cruise!!! Its your Birthday do what you want to do!! even if its nothing!!

I turned 50 this year and have our 28th coming up. We are going to spend two weeks in Thailand.

Cruises suck. Too many people in too small of space. Then the side trips are too $$ and too short. You've given is a perfect description of a cruise. Got roped into a cruise one time - won't do it again.
