Did it while I was growing up. Not anymore. Love to hear them sing in my backyard pond. funny you say that, we had several ponds off limits when I was a kid for that same reason.

Pretty often when I lived at Uncertain. More grabbing than gigging. We gigged minnow ponds in Ark. owned by Cotton Cordelle's dad.

Haven't done it years but my brother and I used to go out at least once a week when we were kids. Lived in the country and had access to a number of stock ponds and small lakes. They were plentiful back then.
