I know I am a little rusty as life got in the way of my fishing too much, but I am not catching what i normally catch in areas i know produce. Has anyone else had this experience in North Texas lately? I was wondering if it was all the rain. My graph doesn't look like past years either. Thanks.

Last year was real good for me especially Texoma but also Tawokoni. Tomorrow I am going to Texoma for the first time this spring/summer. Normally I do good on Tawokoni in lat April and May at the Greenville pump station this year the water was murky and was marking debris through the whole water column on the depth finders. I think the rains did change up the patterns this year. It seems to me that the shallow water fishing has hung around later this year.

I was talking to an angler the other day that was saying the same thing. I think the flooding has really affected some of the lakes. I am still catching fish but in different areas than normal. It will be interesting to see if things settle down for the rest of the summer.

We caught some crappie using minnows a few weeks ago, but only a few strikes and NOTHING in the boat since basswise. According the the BRA, Granbury couldve completely emptied and filled twelve times since January. Im sure the fish are in complete shock and just trying to figure out how to stay alive. Imagine, no thermocline, a current and 6 visibility. Itll eventually get back to normal
