Ok folks! Where is everyone located. I'm ready to work on the details! Hopper I think a fish fry would be great and or some of us cleaning fish and donating them. It really is going to determine the amount of folks willing to participate.

I will be interested. My picks are as follows:
Grapevine
Cleburne
Eagle Mountain
Lake Arlington
Lavon
Ray Roberts

Best of 5 fish or something like that. I always have my cleaning supplies with me, so If I don't need those fish that day I would help in filleting.
Evening or Weekends I will be flexible.

Other good lakes would be Tawakoni, Richland Chambers, Whitney, Aquilla,

I'm glad there are wine drinkers in this world ..... it saves more beer for the rest of us.

I think once a month on an early Saturday morning would be best. Working men/women work during the week and they'd have to miss work if employer even allowed that. In addition to short devotional I think a testimony or two from the participants would be good. If the event is a team event, then I'd say weigh the best 10 fish. If an individual event, then weigh best 5 fish. Also, most tournaments have a big fish prize.

I didn't see a specific charity mentioned. Some good Christian ones are the Salvation Army and the Billy Graham Association. Also, two people need to administer the proceeds to ensure funds are handled as advertised and to protect you.

I believe God wants Christians from all denominations to unite (call ourselves United in Christ or Christians United) rather than be stand-alone islands. We can accomplish more for our Lord united than separate. This gathering can be a mini version of that vision. Thanks for your initiative. Dennis

Ok folks - I need you to PM please your email and cell if you feel comfortable. I will be building a list of folks and that are interested and reaching out. I appreciate it.

I have had several people reach out to me about families. Yes this will be a family event. I am excited to see what this turns into. Please be patient with me as I start putting this together.

Brett

Thanks JWC!

Keep them coming folks - I have a meeting Friday that may start this in motion! I have to remember that the gospel started with 12 disciples.... regardless of the amount that will show up, it's still going to be great.

The battle that I have is trying to find a location that is not too far from folks, so everyone can participate and that's just not possible. I realize people have their comfort zone in traveling with a boat.
I also want the biggest bang for the time and energy that will go into this. Just speaking out loud!

Just set a date, place & time and I'm sure you will get some takers. I may not make all of them but will try my hardest to support the cause. Plus it's just fun.
Matthew 18:20 "For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them".
