Was there last Tuesday, When we came in there were two guys standing and talking at the lower area ramp. Partner talked to them and they said that one was from the county and one from the power plant and they were discussing doing some permanent (cement) improvements to the parking lot, ramp approach and staging area. I did not talk to them but if so, that would be great. Tthere are some potiential axle breaking gullys especially on the approach to the staging area near the ramp. We'll see. popcorn

Knowing our luck they'll start the improvements, closing the ramp, in November and be done in about June.

On the up side, one of the last hot water lakes will get a rest during the spawn.

I've been backing down the old road lately since I knocked my trailer fender off! It's a real mess right now with the culvert washed out and the ramp itself is almost completely stilted in from all the run off.Hopefully the county will do the repairs this summer.

I was there Saturday and they did a very good job fixing the area going down the hill to the ramp that previously had a huge washed out gully down the middle of it. It also looks like they made it a little wider and they covered up the culvert. They did a really good job fixing it. That is all that I see that was worked on. The parking area and the ramp still were the same as before.

Maybe that's their idea of "permament" repairs. Probably had a finaicial limit they could spend. At least they did something.

Will only last till the next big rain. They had the equipment to clean the silt off the ramp and left it. Also there is still a large hole where you beach your boat. Be careful and don't step in it.

Maybe they just did the most important parts first. At least it's more usable now. It's unlikely, but it would be great to have the lot blacktopped with some lines to help with the parking and traffic flow situation in the winter. I would gladly pay $5-10 to launch without having an anxiety attack trying to park haha.
