 Small catfish are biting but roadblock on hybrids

At this very moment we've hit a roadblock of sorts on these Hybrids, I don't pretend to know everything about it, but it looks like to me and other guides like a huge hatch of button, or baby shad have hit the lake and our fish are running rampant not holding on much of anything. What we're seeing is catfish on all the spots mainly of the smaller size! Few sandbass are starting to show up that we can pick off with the slab but it's not easy! Right now we should be Red Hot but unfortunately the fishing is more like August and September! That's all I’ve got have fun, I will be out of here heading for the mountains in 3 weeks! Bob, we were out yesterday and absolutely tore them up. Bunches of under hybrids, easy limit for 2 of 18-23" hybrids, and lots of good sandbass mixed in. Mainly on slabs, but a couple of the larger hybrid came off sassy shad.

One reason I hate to post that the fishing is terrible, as it always seems to come back around and bite me!
