Myself and fishing buddy Jeff took a trip to Kerrville this past Wednesday and fished Ingram Lake. We launched our kayaks just west of the dam. We fished from 8am till 1pm. The bite was good from about 9am till 11am. After 11am it slowed down and never picked back up. We caught a nice variety of fish which included LMB, Guadalupe Bass, Warmouth Sunfish,Redear Sunfish, and some Bluegill sunfish. The sunfish were in the 7 to 9 inch range. The LMB were in the one to two pound range and the Guadalupe Bass were in the one to two pound range. Jeff had a nice Guadalupe a little over 14 inches. The water was clear in most areas but stained in other parts of the lake due to recent rains. All fish caught were by grass beds in about 6 feet of water. Rooster Tails, Chartreuse/Black and White got the best results. A medium retrieve worked well. All fish were released. All in all it was a good day on Ingram Lake! woot

Ingram is a small lake just about a minute outside of Kerrville. Boat traffic is very light during the week days. Plenty of Guadalupe Bass in that part of the Guadalupe River. woot

Thanks for the report LO. I thought about trying that out a few weeks ago but ended up fishing Centerpoint Lake instead. Good information. I love catching Guads. 14 inch is considered a trophy guad.

J-Moe: Ingram is a nice little lake with some good quality fish. It's loaded with Guadalupe Bass. The one Jeff caught was also in the two pound range. We caught a few Guad's that day all going over 12". Great fighters on ultralight tackle. woot

As always great report Laker. You guys really put the miles on those kayaks. Are you going to fish the Nueces and Frio rivers this year?

Was going to try to fish the Canyon this summer. Still a chance but it looks like Fall will be a better chance.
