i fish the stretch between Schneiders' and Scott's crossings on a regular basis and the fish population was pretty much wiped out by the flood last year. The last several trips have been extremely unproductive and you rarely even see a fish other than the occasional carp or gar. Hopefully Texas Parks and Wildlife will strongly consider restocking this area. A local told me last year that the water flow through that area was around 2,000,000 gallons per second!

Was at 87 crossings for a family kayak trip and kids playing in the rapids and didn't get a bite with soft plastics, brother-in-law caught one small bass with a spinnerbait. The flow was nice but the water was pretty dead
