What do you use to spray and wipe down your boat after fishing? I currently use Mothers spray wax to remove the water spots and keep that new boat shine. Anyone tried any of the ceramic coatings that supposedly prevent water spots? I bought a new Nitro last year with a black hull...and it looks great...but it has to be wiped down every time or it shows water spots.

Water / Vinegar 50 / 50 or bass boat saver both work great

I just had my boat ceramic coated and you wouldn't believe the results. You literally wipe it with a micro-fiber towel and it looks like it's just off the showroom floor.

The prep work for the ceramic coating isn't inexpensive but the finish it leaves is out of this world glossy.

There's a two year standard coating or you can pay more and get the five year coating. Talk to me in five years and I'll let you know if it's a gimmick or not.

Message me if you're in the DFW area and I'll give you Oscar's number. I think I paid $1K but he offers discounts to do your vehicles too. It literally takes him all day to do one vehicle and he brings all of his stuff to your house.

The ceramic coating does more than that. It's just one of the things it does.

I've looked at 3 or 4 of the miracle ceramic coatings. All seemed a bit labor intensive (which I didn't mind) but they all had some sort of additional spray the you were supposed to use periodically to "sustain" protection.
Having a background in automotive finishes, I'm not sold on them. I've seen all kinds of products over the last 30 years and it still comes down to keeping your finish clean, protected and maintained. Doesn't matter if it's a car, boat, rv, whatever.
I wax my boat a couple of times a year, spray/wipe it down with a quick detailer(pick you product, I use BTS, BBS or Lucas mostly) at the ramp every time and my boat stays looking new. I sold my Legend after running it for 7 years for the exact same as I paid for it.

Lemon Pledge. It takes of lake scum, water spots, bird poo, bug splat, everything but chips in the gelcoat. Spray on and wipe off. Been using it since day one on a 2006 Skeeter.

Boat Saver works really well. Cleans and waxes all in one shot.
