Finally had a chance to come home and fish some Hill Country waters. We had been planning this trip for awhile and everyday my guys (3.5 and 5.5 yrs) would ask are taking a plane to Texas today? Finally the day came and we weren't disappointed. Got to fish 5 days; we hit Boerne city lake, Cibolo nature area, Pedernales Falls, Guadalupe State park, and the Comal. We couldn't have had better fishing conditions and caught well over 200 fish during our trip. We aught just about everything that's available; bass, sunfish, rios, catfish, white bass, drum, and gar. My guys are fearless troopers and followed Dada through brush and water (both know how to swim well). They have been fishing since they were 6 months old, strapped in a baby bjorn, and can't get enough. Most fish were caught on worm tipped jigs and river minnows. Was great to be home and see the rivers in such great shape. I can't wait till they are old enough to handle rivers like the Nueces, Frio and Sabinal, I just hope Dada can still make it by then.. They are already asking when we can go back to "the creek" (Cibolo park), hopefully can make it back in Oct. Sorry for all the pics but I'm kinda a proud Dada and like sharing their accomplishments. View heading to the Ped, will never get tired of driving through God's Country! My guys exploring the Cibolo. The little guy with a couple of redbreasts. Biggest bass of the day. Caught a little of everything at Boerne city lake. Lots of greenies and rios from the Cibolo marsh pond. Good times on the Ped. My big guy had been wanting to catch a gar for a year since our last trip. We had lots of runs then but didnt have the right gear to catch them. We made up for it this time and he must have caught about 20 of those slimy things. Wiped out, dreaming about the next trip. Thanks for looking. Tight lines.

You are one lucky Dada right there, sir. Building memories for a life time is what fatherhood is all about. Even after you're gone, your sons will remember fishing trips with there father. Thanks for sharing.
