We were out there a couple of weeks ago, lots of very small rat bass.. Crappie were doing good out there... best bites we had were around grass on flukes or senkoss

Fished it a few years back. Like said above, a bunch of tiny fish. A 2 or 3 lbs. fish is big for that lake. Shakey head trick worms and flukes.

Is this the Moss lake in Gainesville? If so, it has some giants in it. I wouldn't say a 2 or 3 lb bass is big for the lake.
Woke up this morning Got yourself a gun....

Any advice on bass fishing on Moss Lake this weekend. I have a small tournament & have never been on the lake. jthom17@verizon.netFish the main lake point that separates the two creeks, it is about mid lake on the north side. Then fish both sides of the creek that runs north and south, I would only go about halfway back, I would throw shakey heads , wackey trick worms, and a top water early. Also the north bank on the east side of that creek can be good, points, boat houses, all the way east to the dam.

Only fished it once. Don't know about about any giants but I can confirm an extremely high population of skinny, skinny dinks

Buddy has caught a 7 by the north side ramp and I caught a 5 deep crankin by the dam. But usually we just catch rats out there. I believe a lot of bass are kept out of that lake.

Lots of deep docks out there too... maybe Texas Parks and Wildlife could do a stocking there one day?

I caught a 7 pounder out there a few years ago that was about 27" long. Don't know if adding more fish would help with all the dinks. Usually the other way around.
I hate photobucket.

My largest was an 11.2, had another one same day that was larger, could not get her to bite, at least 12. The 11 was completely spawned out, 27 inches long, could have been easily a 12 if caught earlier.

Fished it Friday7/5 - Dinks on plastics, one decent keeper. Missed a nice fish on whopper plopper.
Stayed long enough to get run outta town by the wakeboats. Guess the "no wake" buoys are just a suggestion?? Took on water over bow twice, don't think that's ever happened.
Hey Paw Paw Jack: wondering how your tournament was?
