The Ray Hubbard Bass Club held our fifth members only tournament on Saturday, June 22nd on Lake Fork. This was the makeup date for our postponed April tournament. The weather was hot and sticky with a stiff south wind that made moving around on the main lake a little treacherous. 39 boats came out to fish and the fishing was pretty good for most! 23 of the 39 entered weighed five fish limits. When they were all weighed in, the victory went to the team of Clark Crenshaw and Roddy Bieber with a 2 fish bag weighing an adjusted 10.58. Big bass of the event also went to Clark and Roddy who had the only Over of the event with a 10.08 monster. Unfortunately she was caught very early and did not survive the hot day. Here are full results and pictures.

When you catch a fish like this 10 pounder in the first 30 minutes, your day is going to go well. Here is your big bass of the tournament.

Thanks to my partner Chris Atkinson for doing live well checks. Thanks to David Choate for weighing fish and keeping the line moving in the heat. Thanks to Shellye Crawford for recording weights on wet weigh sheets and thanks to Cameron Laing for getting the money straight. Thanks to everyone who came out and fished. Our next RHBC tournament is Saturday July 13th on Lake Lavon going out of the Lavonia Park South ramp. Hope to see you there!

Tom another big bass with part of the tail missing? We had three brought to the live release boat at the Skeeter tournament. Strange. Not cut recently either.

Yes, and that fish was no line burner when she was caught. Almost 25 inches long. Have to wonder how long ago that happened
