Big money brings big cheaters. Now it looks like you can cheat from the inside. Tournaments with an entry fee over 50 dollars should be banned. And while at it, high school tournaments should be banned too.

Wait....what?

I'd hope an example of this is like a minor lifejacket rule or trash flying out of the boat. Minor stuff that comes up in pre polygraph test that you must explain but would never disqualify you

Pretty much the same thing as the "Decisions of the Tournament Director are final and are not subject to appeal. Interpretation of these rules will be left exclusively to the Tournament Director in his sole and absolute discretion.", just worded differently to be more specific which seems to be backfiring on them. I dont know anything about this trail, but I will darn sure say that I have zero envy for anyone out there trying to run a tournament trail these days. Its a lose lose, no matter what decision you make or how you try to better the trail there will always be folks upset about it and waiting to light you up on social media. If there are things you are unclear on how about calling the TD and having a discussion to get a better understanding?... or just jump online and make veiled accusations and assumptions without ever providing any proof or accounts of wrong doings just what was "heard" from a buddy that fished em.

I could say the same thing about you sir. You haven't fished a single event by your own admission yet here you are opening a discussion on a forum that could be detrimental to said trail. A sponsor exemption to the championship really isnt a big deal and its probably more common than you would think. Certainly not a big enough deal to make a thread blasting a tournament trail that you dont even fish. What other rules are so crazy that it makes the trail unfishable? I read through the entire website and it all looks in order. If anything these guys have gone above and beyond to try and explain their process, where as verbiage like "Decisions of the Tournament Director are final and are not subject to appeal. Interpretation of these rules will be left exclusively to the Tournament Director in his sole and absolute discretion." could apply to nearly anything its so vague. They payouts look to be on point as well.. you guys have been fishing under the same rules on other trails but didnt even know it because its worded different.

Call the TD and get clarification, he was kind enough to chime in with his contact info.... which should have happened first by the people who actually fish the trail that had an issue with the rules, not by their buddy.

I will await someone to post all the other rules that are so horrible that I cant seem to find on their website.

Maybe the OP was considering fishing the trail and wanted to look at the rules?

And there you have it. Mr. Dortch sounds like a first-class TD.
