I don't post much in the bluegill forum but I figured y'all would enjoy this hot action and info on how I catch them...

Enjoyed the video, nice bluegill. Looks like you were fishing pretty shallow. Most of the sunfish have moved deeper here in south and central texas.

Thanks, I don't post lakes much as some take offense to it but Doctorxring nailed it....

I'm catching some deep along with the crappie but there's still a lot of gills bedding in the shallows.... Thanks...

Man I always have bluegill rod in the boat this time of year. I use that same micro rod but mines is a 7.5 ultra light model with 2lb SOS line. Nothing better than a plate of gills and fries with a cold one chase it down.

I've been catching some good ones deep with the crappie here the past couple weeks but they're a lot more fun on light tackle..... And I'll bet even more fun on ultra light.....

As always great video. Big gills like that are so addicting when you get on them. That is how I got the bug when I was a kid.

Nice work btw fella...didn't know them bad boys liked jigs like that! I always thought they liked stuff like insects better but from the video I may have to give it a shot! Heading east soon for a bully show down!
