I'm in the market to buy a Humminbird Helix 10 SI GPS G3N. Can you not buy one with a trolling motor transducer instead of the standard transom mount transducer? I've looked everywhere and cant seem to find that option. Several years ago I bought one without a transducer then ordered the TM transducer separate. Is that no longer an option? Ive tried calling Humminbird and emailing them but I either get put on terminal hold or no response on the email. Maybe its time to switch to Garmin or Lowrance.

The unit comes with a transom bracket transducer that is suitable for either location. Just need a trolling motor mount for it.

If you want to wait to do an exchange, you can exchange the transom setup for the trolling motor setup and end up with the same thing as just getting the Humminbird mount. That is handled through Humminbird Customer Service.

The only CHO models now available (Control Head Only) are the G3 DI models for use with the Minnkota MDI transducer.
