 Skunked three times.

Last two days I’ve been down at Rowlett creek trying to catch some catfish and all I’ve had is two small bites and no fish. I’ve been throwing everything at them. Dough bait. Punch bait. Frozen shad. Chicken liver. And even caught some live shad in a cast net and nothing has been working. Not sure what my luck is but some of the other gentlemen down there have been catching a few.

Getting skunked happens. Makes the catching days a whole lot better! You might want to change up your plan. Depth,bait,etc. Do not know about your area but down here in South Central Texas we have been getting a lot of rain. If you have been getting a lot of rain maybe all of the fresh water added in the creek could have effected the bite. Once things settle down the bite should pick-up. Just my two cents.

Its like i tell my customers.... fish wirh me enough and you will have the best trip of your life....and the worst trip of your life. Many times over and repeat and again....
Go when you can go. Stay with it. Putting the pieces together when its hard is the fun part.
