The marina price for a dozen skinny little Canadian Nightcrawlers was $4.50 this morning.. I wonder what caused them to be so expensive and such poor quality?

On the other hand the sunfish were biting the poor scrawny little worms like mad for a couple of hours this morning at Joe Pool Lake. Some of the sunfish were eight inches or better. After 9 AM they quit biting.

DON'T BUY CANADIAN NIGHTCRAWLERS...i had a bait shop and u have to keep these cool or they die fast...get redworms or african nightcrawlers...they stay on the hook better anyway

Price per container is one reason I started raising my own. I bought a pound of European night crawlers and there was over 2000. Even if I wasn't raising them for the castings, it would be a better deal than $4.50 a box, more like 2 cents each. And they were bait size when they arrived.

I found out today that they now went up from $10 to $15 for non-GP residents just to get into the parks....so maybe they went up on the worm prices too?
