My agent has left his company so my coverage is expiring. Would ask this question in the insurance 101 section but it gets little to no visitors. Who do you have and who do you suggest for boat insurance? Good rates, good coverage, good service, on the water towing....thanks in advance.

does your agent insure your boat or does the insurance company insure your boat? I know silly question.

who ever you had, look or your policy and call the company if you want to keep it.

Otherwise call progressive. They have the best boat policies of them all. Forget the politics.

I misunderstood the non-renewal letter. Technically, "agency no longer represents company" according to the letter. But yea, I'll give them a call.

I have mine through Bob Llewellyn at Worldwide Insurance.

The only other one I would consider is Ben Green Insurance!

I have had Progressive all these years with no problems. You will have to tell them you want the add-on for towing and roadside assistance. Also be deciding if you want the market value if it is totaled or full replacement value. Most will ask; so take notes and tell them you want that stated in the policy or a letter attached. You want be able to make heads or tails out of the policy. As you add these things to your policy it will sky rocket fast..

Each person you work with holds some promise to your future success.

You'd think your agency would be contacting you to try to keep you, not the other way around.

i-Fish, did you reach out to the agency that represents you? You first stated "your agent left", then said the "agency no longer represents the company".
