Any update on how the water clarity is rebounding? Is there an established 'mud' line or still stained throughout? Planning on heading out this weekend to north end of lake but may head towards dam if still heavily stained. Thanks!

The lake is clearing a little. Not as muddy as last week. Stripers are still hard to come by. I caught some excellent gizzard shad yesterday and fished several hours. Caught one 20 inch striper and four keeper LM bass. I may post a pic later and writeup later. Just need to decide if it's worth the hate PM's from the bass kissers, as one of the LM Bass is 22 inches and 8-10 LB. My fishing buddy wanted to eat him so I kept him.

Bait is super easy if you go up any creek or slough. I could not find any threadfins yesterday though, as the gizzards were shallow spawning. I caught some gizzards yesterday that must have been 18 inches long. I never seen a gizzard shad that big before.

I wouldnt let that keep from doing a write up. It is your right to keep legal fish, if the ditch pickle crew gets mad, they can get glad in the same panties they got mad in.

I may go Sunday. If I do, I'll give a report. Been hearing it's tough right now. My livebait fishing generally tapers off here in a few weeks and I'll go back to artificials. Which is nice because I don't have to get to the lake at 4:30 woot

My wife gets mad at me, for throwing back all the LMB, we catch. Use to tournament fish alot, and just cannot make myself keep them. Nothing against those that do though.

mwfishin: I usually throw back the bass over 18 inches as I think they have too much bad stuff in them. They are old and have eaten al lot of small fish. Buddy wanted this one so it went in the cooler.
