I have the Rec Tec 700 and I love it. Rec Tec is the best out there in my opinion. Their customer service is top notch. Why did you need customer service? To shoot the bull with the owner. If you call customer service the ceo/owner of company answers. I call for settings help, pellet reccomendations. When I bought my grill one of the probes wasnt reading temp correctly. I called and they sent me two sets of probes for free. No questions asked. That was the only issue I have ever had.

I have a Green Mountain Grill that hasn't given me any problems yet. I bought it around Black Friday at a great price ($900 grill bought for $525). If I were to buy another one I would take a hard look at grillagrills.com

I made mine out of a 22" Ole' Smokey. Installed a heating element, a couple of different grill grates, water bowl, 2 thermometers and a 12" TUBE for the pellets. I use Pit Bosses Competition Blend. I smoke ribs and chicken mostly and works great. Less than $150.

Go see Wendall at Dave's stove shop in Weatherford, https://www.davidsstoveshop.com/. He is very knowledgeable and has many in stock. I just purchased the Yoder s640. He can tell you the differences and which works best for you.
