Anyone use them for catfish?
I like the slimmer profile and weight. Just wondering how well they would hold up on bigger cats.

When I made the transition over from bass to blues I slowly built up my cat-fishing gear but while doing so I used my jig and soft plastic rods. They worked fine. It was the reels that that had a hard time keeping up with sling that much weight and lower line capacity.

I often keep a med action bass spinning rod set up in my boat and rig it with a suspended rig with a small piece of cut bait and it sure is fun when a blue grabs a hold of it. A 3-5lb blue feels like a tank on it.

They work great with a clicker and kahle hooks or J hook types but I prefer a softer tip action for circle hooks.

You know that old saying "Some people march to the beat of a different drummer."? I don't listen to a drum at all and have meandered through life instead of marching.
