Having problems lowering motor for transom saver no problems going up only down sometimes works sometimes doesnt. Any ideas. This is switch on side cowling

I assume the switch at throttle works fine on down. If so down selenoid is probably good. Probably switch itself. Try bypassing and see how it works.

Tilt trim at throttle does work fine. Only down on motor not working. Thanks for remarks

I had the same problem on my Mercury ended up just replacing the switch and now it works like new but I will say that they aint cheap 70-80.00$ is what I had to pay for a OEM

my old yamaha did this too and i just pulled the cowling and sprayed the switch with contact cleaner, it started working fine. i then sprayed it again with corrosion x.
