Fished from daybreak til noon. Water temp 89-92 degrees & very calm day. Met up with doctorxring & TJ on the water. Sunfish bite was exceptional. Caught around 50-60 & released all but 2 that swallowed the hook. The only place I didn't catch fish was the dam/rocks. They have either moved or been extracted. I have seen a lot of boats in that area the last few trips. All caught on drop shot & night crawlers. Thank you doc for the triplet advice. Here is a 17 minute video of the adventures. Had a lot of problems with Windows Moviemaker, but got about 90 percent of what I wanted. Will be leaving for Ohio for a week on Saturday, so no fishing for a while.Fayette 6-18-19

Great video Steve. Those perch were on a rabid bite yesterday. Better than the

Thanks Cat, Doc & Banker for replies...I believe from everything have read & seen that the sunfish spawn off & on all summer long on Fayette. Yes, they are definitely on beds right now, but I believe they hang out there through September/October before disappearing to who knows where. Doc can discuss this in more detail as he is a bed fishing expert.

Great post and video Vogey. You have got film making down to an art! woot I am still seeing sunnies on beds but not as many compared to a few weeks ago. I think the spawn on most parts is about over. I think we will see at least two more. Late July through early August and again in early September. Just my two cents. 2cents

Thanks Steve. I think you are right, the sunnies will be spawning throughout the summer! thumb

You sure do know how to locate them. I don't ever feel like I can find beds like I used too. Wondering if the nets have caused them to move deeper over the years.

GD...Thanks for the input.

Perks...When I started fishing for these guys on Fayette I was skunked for the 1st 3 trips, but eliminated water each trip. Then found 1 good spot, but kept searching & found a few more. Then got some good tips & information from members of this forum that have the same passion & obsession. The two fishermen that have helped me the most are doctorxring & crickethook & I thank them for sharing their knowledge of fishing beds & patterns as pertains to this water body. Just my opinion, but I don't think the netters have much of an impact on the bluegill & red ear fishing here.
