Rob and I decided to try RC Thursday, the weather report was good. We knew the fishing was up and down thanks to the reports from Bob Holmes and Gone Fishin' but we were willing to try. Launched around 6:30 and tried 5 main lake points and only found a good concentration of fish on one of them. Decided to go up the Chambers arm since we had never fished up there before. Went way passed the 287 bridge then using the map tried a large hump close to deep water, looking for something in the 20ft or less range. Marked fish, anchor, thump and it was lights out for 2 hours, majority of fish were keeper size. Moved around the hump in the 20-25 ft range until we were back where we started. Sometimes we only had to move 10 or 15 feet. I think we caught all of the fish in that area, even caught a 5.5lb yellow cat. Fun getting in on my light tackle but not fun getting all of the slime off. 167 on the clicker, all released.
