The fishing at Lavon has been great this year. Can't find the flatheads though

Flatheads are being over harvested. They are not as prolific as the blues and channels. Your statement that you couldn't find the flatheads says it all. Catch and release folks. . .

There's always chicken breast laugh

Seriously I've never fished with it but I have seen it work and catch lots of channels and blues.

You get out of it what you put into it!

Go below the dam and throw the net a few times. If nothing, throw out some corn and catch a carp or two. Great cut bait!

I've never caught a Flathead from Lavon. I just dont think I'm doing it right. I see plenty of others catching them so I know they're there

Where are you fishing out of? I have always been a bass guy, I want to learn Lavon cats. Caught a 9lb bass there last week. If you ever want a buddy out there let me know, I need to pick someones cat brain!

Hey, I live in Wylie pretty close to Lavon and am pretty new to fishing. Would you be able to share some spots (maybe through PM or here) I could get to around the lake and maybe some tips on catching some catfish? I love to eat catfish and would like to learn how to catch them. Maybe if you'd like to meet up sometime that would be cool too
