Flatheads are being over harvested. They are not as prolific as the blues and channels. Your statement that you couldn't find the flatheads says it all. Catch and release folks. . .

Great job.
I am still looking for the shad so I can do some catfishing. There's always chicken breast  Seriously I've never fished with it but I have seen it work and catch lots of channels and blues.
You get out of it what you put into it!

Great job.
I am still looking for the shad so I can do some catfishing. Go below the dam and throw the net a few times. If nothing, throw out some corn and catch a carp or two. Great cut bait!

I've never caught a Flathead from Lavon. I just dont think I'm doing it right. I see plenty of others catching them so I know they're there

Where are you fishing out of? I have always been a bass guy, I want to learn Lavon cats. Caught a 9lb bass there last week. If you ever want a buddy out there let me know, I need to pick someones cat brain!

Hey, I live in Wylie pretty close to Lavon and am pretty new to fishing. Would you be able to share some spots (maybe through PM or here) I could get to around the lake and maybe some tips on catching some catfish? I love to eat catfish and would like to learn how to catch them. Maybe if you'd like to meet up sometime that would be cool too
