Moving to Seabrook, TX soon. I've seen some posts about fishing Clear Lake and have some good spots marked, but does anyone have experience fishing the circled cut in the image below? I will have access to a private ramp in this area and looking for some info on fishing from a kayak close to home.

Not familiar with that area at all but welcome to the forum!

I grew up down there, however, never fished the area you marked. You might look at this area too. Don't forget West Bay either, great spots there.

Thanks, FishyB.
I have read similar suggestions on TexasKayakFisherman forum for those areas, as well as the small bridge west of your marks by the Seabrook Shipyard. I appreciate the info!

I grew up in Nassau Bay in the 60s and early 70s. I remember back then, and when I went back to run in the area a few years ago, there were folks catching fish just a tad west of your satellite view. There is the area where Clear Lake turns into Clear Creek, and then forks into Cow Bayou. Just next to Nassau Bay lake. I have seen many folks pulling fish from there. And, I talked to a guy a few years ago when I was there for a run, and he said he bank fishes there all the time and does good. just depending on if the fish are biting. Anyway, that's all I know.

That's the entrance to what we called Taylor Lake about 60 years ago. I can remember it was fairly shallow when we water skied in there. As you go into the lake, on the left is where the Astronauts and families lived. Not really sure about the fishing in there. Fishing near the mouth of Clear Lake would be my best bet to snag something.

Contemplating my 30th high school reunion which is Labor Day weekend. I use the word, "contemplating", because if I come down, I would rather go fishing, LOL!

Shoot me an email, I can send you some stuff on West Bay if you like.
