Man.....read this whole thread and hardly a single word about their baits. The whole thread is about pointless age demographics and YouTube personalitys. I could careless how old they are or how silly they make themselves out to be on video. All I care about is how well the baits perform. Not sure who designed the Bandito Bug but if you hold it in your hand and take a good look at it you will realized it's pretty much perfect. Cant think of how to improve on it. Sure...they either stole or bought the flange design from Strike King but either way the bait is flawless. Hope they sell a bazillion of them.

it's not about the bait, it's about hating on something different than what is the "norm".
Seems to be what a lot of the TFF is about these days.

Never heard of them but had to check out what so many are hating on. roflmao Best of luck to them, business in fishing isn't easy.

A good rule of angling philosophy is not to interfere with another fisherman's ways of being happy, unless you want to be hated.

I wont name any names but there is at least one person here on this thread that claims to not know anything about them, but said they were not even making enough money to pay their internet bill about a year or so ago. grin

As far as their baits go......I don't own any but have played with the Krackin Craw a little in the stores. Seems like a top notch bait all the way! I have a boat load of Speed Craws and Rage stuff otherwise I would have probably picked up a few packs by now. Once my Speed Craw inventory gets low or I find a deal on the Krackin Craws I will buy some. I have no doubts they are as good as what I throw now.

Well with a combined 2 million plus viewers on YouTube Im pretty sure they arent hurting for money and pretty sure they could care less how many times some 40 to 60 year old misuses their name! More power to them. Living the American dream. Figured out how to parlay something they love to do into a money making business.

I haven't seen any of their you tube video's or even know who they are but a local tackle shop I go to had some of their baits and I picked up a couple packs of the craw bugs to try out. They have good action and they are pretty durable. I like them as much as the Strike King rage bugs. I like their product and will get more when I run out, but I will skip all the drama that so many seem to be caught up in.

It's tough to make a living in the fishing industry. Let alone if you have to split it five ways. If they are somehow bringing in enough money for all of them to survive and grow the business I'd be surprised. I imagine most of them have real jobs and this is a side hustle. Side hustles can become main gigs in todays world of unlimited leverage with the internet though. I wish them all the best and have to say I'm slightly jealous!

Someone told me they are all full time at Googan and making decent bank. Just hearsay, so not 100% sure. Maybe they can go long and make Googan, Inc. in to the next Pure Fishing.

Josh, far from a side hustle. The latest figures for You Tube is, that the the You Tube is paying the You Tube creator 55% of the adverstising rate. Currently that rate is $6 to $10 per 1000 views. 55% of this equates to roughly $4.00 per 1000 views. Most of the Googan squad has a viewership of 100,000 to 300,000 views per episode. This equates to $400 to $1200 per video. All of these figures change rapidly as does their viewership numbers.

However, the real money is not in the videos, it is in building the brand which allows them to charge large sums to promote brands/companies directly, create an apparel line, branded fishing tackle, Instagram revenue streams, and a whole host of other opportunites; including owning equity in a lot of the brands they promote. They are not only creating an income stream, but creating wealth. This group was one of the first to market for the fishing market and have done a wonderful job of hustling to create the American dream. I admire their hustle, hard work and determination to make this happen. A real success story.

I wish them well, have seen their videos and many are very good. I'm old, prefer watching Roland Martin, others, for simple approaches. Tactical Bassin, a few others, too, if I want to really dig deep.

When I see statistics, I always relate national numbers to local metrics. So, I know we have about a 330 million population in the USA, and 6.8 million in the D/FW Metroplex. So, 2% of the country lives here.

If they actually have 2 million viewers, this'd imply that there are 41,212 or so people in D/FW who subscribe to their videos. Likely double or triple that since D/FW is definitely "fishier" than most places.

Is this even possible that there are 41,000+ viewers here in D/FW? Gosh, I'd have thought maybe a few thousand, something like that at most, certainly after you exclude everyone without access, the very old, the very young, the non-angler population and more.

I do know that viewer metrics on all sorts of websites (FB, Instagram, Google) are often ridiculously off target, some made out of whole cloth, not specific to YouTube or the Googan Squad.

Brad
