Looking for movers to come and pack and move us to a new house. Local move - less than 50 miles. Recommendations? Hook ups?

What I have done in the past is boxed everything myself with boxes marked which room they came from. I then hired two helpers that were at a local moving company. There are many there looking for work every morning and hired a U-Haul truck. they loaded the truck, followed in their car and unloaded the truck into the rooms that I designated. Simple, efficient and economical. They do it for a living every day and worked great!

You can try A-1 Auto Transport's moving services. They're obviously a car shipper, but they do local and long distance moving too, which I suppose is fairly common in the industry. I've used them for both and they were cheaper than a lot of the others I looked at. No problems either time and I'd definitely use them again.

www.hireahelper.com

I use these guys to load our trucks - we have one of our own on the floor directing what goes next in the truck and the driver (loadmaster) is in the truck.

Less work for us and we load a 26' Penske in less than 4 hours.
