Hey any of you got a ram 1500 hemi 8speed with 3:21 year ratio rear end.
Just wondering they only offer it with 3:21 or 3:92 was wanting 3:55 but no dice.

I have a 16 Rebel with the 3:92 and it's not as thirsty as you might think, I get 17 in town and 19-21 on the highway depending or wind and grade. Those are obviously empty numbers. Towing a 21 Phoenix I'm 14-15 in town and 16 on the Highway.

Probably good until you decide to put some 35s on it. I wonder what the MPG difference is between the 3.21 and the 3.92? I actually like the new Dodge enough to consider for my next truck if I can do away with the awfull looking chrome without going up to a Rebel. They also I need to do something about quality. I don't want to be joining you all sitting at the dealership waiting for repairs.

I'm past the point of big tires in my life. I'm at the age where comfort and quietness are where it's at and this Ram suits me just fine. Pulls the little dinghy down the road with ease and gets me to and from work in comfort.

I would not get the 3.21 gears if you plan on bigger tires. If you plan on bigger tires I wouldn't care about fuel mileage.

My 2015 RAM 1500 has been completely flawless. Not so much as a burned out fuse or light bulb. Knock on wood. Nothing but oil/filter and fuel filter changes still on the factory tires at 68,000+ miles.

My 16 has 85+ on the clock and the same reliability. I have driven past many a Toyota Dealerships waving as I went by, but something else I pass a lot of that no Tundra owner can claim is a gas station. partyon

Facts are facts, I filled up this morning and looked down and had 650 miles till empty. My brother a proud Toyota owner goes about 300 and is biting his nails until he finds a gas station. His is a 17 TSS crewmax with the 5.7

.....but, have you passed a Toyota?

Yeh. They get horrible mileage. Mine averages around 10.5-11. Combined city/highway/lots of towing a boat. The new Rams arent bad, but they are just not for me. [Linked Image]

Good to know the Ram gets that kinda mpg. I like the new Ram's! Tundra's are well built trucks but they don't get good mpg and can't tow much. I sold my Tundra and bought a F150 ecoboost. Tundra can't hold a candle to that ecoboost when it comes to towing. I get 20 mpg on my daily driving (2/3 highway and 1/3 city) and 23-24 mpg highway.

You get out of it what you put into it!

Really no need to chew his nails. The miles to empty on the Tundras have a ridiculous reserve whether it is the 26 gallon or the 38 gallon tank. I have the 38 gallon tank and twice I have been to 0 on miles to go. I don't think it will read a negative number. I could go 100 miles on hwy after the 0 reading. Pulled in to work this morning after mostly my commute and running weekend errands MPGs are 17.8. I will take it. Between the repair bills, the inconvenience and the resale value I will come out ahead. Also, purchase price was less than the GMs I was getting quotes on.

You obviously have NOT towed much with your hyperventilating v6. My step dad has an ecoboost in his beat-to-hell-aluminum-cant-load-anything-in-the-bed King Ranch 1fiddy. Its a JOKE!!! The truck is best suited for moms and groceries. Sorry fella. Truth hurts.

I tow with a FX4 with the 5.0 and 10 speed tranny. Best, most powerful and eco truck I've owned. I won't judge your truck because I know nothing about it and unless you have one like mine don't try judging mine. thumb

The truth does hurt, I was a dyed in the wool blue oval guy until they decided to cut every corner possible and ruin what used to be a quality product. Maybe on the next redesign they will think to make enough changes to the interior that once behind the wheel you can differentiate whether your inside of a 2010 or 2020 model. Also no joke about the squat my neighbor has his hooked to a 16' tandem axle trailer and the rear sags before he puts anything on the trailer.
