Looking for good places at lakes to launch a small bass boat with only a trolling motor so I will need to launch really close to where I fish. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Without writing a book for a post, this is the best way I can help. Click the link, then the area you want to fish. Then each lake is listed and location and every public ramp on each page is listed. Pick your lake and ramp based on time of year, location, wind direction, etc

Try the LBJ grasslands in Decatur. A hand full of small lakes that are fun to fish.

Tons of great fishing at Roberts, Fork, TBend, very close to public ramps. Study maps and then treat the area you are launching as its own small lake. Don't worry about what is going on on the rest of the water body just pick apart the area you are in. I did it for years and it works great. Buck Creek, Jordan, Both State parks, Pond Creek ramps at Ray Roberts all have outstanding fishing areas very close by. If you take two batteries you can double the size of the area you are fishing.

See you on the lake and have a great day!

I used to fish Little Caney at Fork in a 2 man boat. You can launch at hideaway harbor. (I think that is the name)

at Fork Hwy 19 north over the bridge and into the campground, FM 17 Popes Landing, Williams Creek, Chaney Branch all on the west side. Like Colton said little caney out of the campground, FM 515 east ramp and stay on the north bank, good coves all along there.

We just follow the glitter boats and fish in boat lanes mostly. Shhhhh. That is our secret.
