I live in the Lake Highlands area of Dallas. We got slammed by the storm and there is a ton of pecan branches piled up in front of houses. This area had many pecan groves when it was in the �country�. I had a friend get a pickup load from my place. I am glad it won�t make it to the landfill. He did me a solid too, after loading it up he took a few minutes to sweep and bag the leaves that were under the branches. Come and get it.

Lake Highlands area of Dallas. Basically south of Church Road to Northwest Hwy, west of Audelia Road To Skillman. The park/green belt along white rock creek has a lot of pecan trees that dropped limbs. Pretty much ever other house has pecan branches piled next to the street.

Good load of pecan there. I've tried all cooking woods and pecan is the only one my family cares for.

Cast took that load home with him on a recent visit.

There�s no way anyone could possibly get it all. There�s branches on the sidewalks in front of most houses. Not sure what kind of oak people bbq with but a lot of oak branches too. As far as logs like Bill posted I would imagine that is available too but most of it is smaller stuff.

Has anyone tried Bradford Pear to smoke with? Would it give your meat a fruity taste?

Asking for a friend - he has seen a lot of that to on the ground from the storm.
