First, let me thank you all for the intel with reference to my question. Any reports concerning lake Whitney's water color and whether or not the lake is open as of 6-12.

Water clarity varies depending on what area of the lake you are on. Fairly muddy along the channel from White Bluff to the bridge. A little better everywhere else. A lot of suspended algae particles in the water right now. It seems to be settling towards the bottom over the past few days. I hope it doesn't cause oxygen depletion when it dies. In regard to launching a boat, I know you can launch at Lake Whitney Marina/Juniper Cove. There may be others as well but that is the only one I know of. Good luck!

We're probably 2-3 weeks away from any of the park ramps opening, per a park ranger two days ago.
