I don't like that spot and I caught way more fish way downstream too.

I mean, there's fifty people fishing a short section of wall. Of course there are crossed lines and tangles. If someone's not ready to deal with that... I dunno what they were expecting.

People have been largely friendly and helpful to me, including some charitable bait donations.

Last night was slower, but the fish were bigger for me.

Of course on the cast right after I landed my first fish of the night my only rod broke, so... that was a bummer.

Anyways, that was the Amazon/Fiblink rod recommended upthread. It's mega cheap for a reason, I guess.

Glitchmo, This bums me out as the guy who recommended it! was it the 9' one or the 10' one?

How did it break? Casting? How much weight was on?

last Saturday, I saw a guy who bottom fished with live bait. The strong water flow pushed the sinker downstream, and so the line became parallel to the bank and no one to his right could fish without crossing his line. If this guy retrieved and re-cast constantly, it would be OK, but unfortunately he just let the line stay there.

Went Tuesday night. Steady action and helped some folks pull up their fish from the wall. Not too much drama or any at all and I was helping a few pull up fish.

1oz bucktails for me

Tonight was nuts! Ive never seen so many people, and almost everyone was catching fish. I got skunked Thursday night and asked a guy who was limiting out what he was using and he gave me a couple Zoom pink Bubble Gum flukes to try. I got some more tonight and caught a 25, 20, and another 25+ I couldnt pick up out of the rocks fast enough before a knee high wave scooped him up, ha!

The guy next to me tonight asked me how I caught my first one and shared my pink flukes with him and he went from no fish to 5 fish in about and hour! So yeah, it was a good night!

For the comments earlier about almost fighting, tonight someone volunteered their net to help me get my fish up the wall, plenty of sharing space and understanding with tangles, bait and info sharing, etc. just good vibes all around!
