My friend has this unit, he bought it new. The di and si have never worked at all. He just told me and I helped him level the transducer to the boat. all we see is a real dark image on both di and si. He just updated the software to the new one but it still did not work. We have tried to reset it to factory settings. The mega transducer is picked in the transducer menu for di and si. Is there a way to restore it back to what it came from from the factory settings other than restore to default? any advice is appreciated.

Restore Defaults is what puts all the settings back to the original factory settings. Does he get any image using 455 kHz?

thanks guys. it is under warranty and called Humminbird and they are sending him a new one!
