Sup fellow salt-lovers. It's my first post here so please be gentle..

I think I was bitten by something at PINS around 3am Monday. I was in knee-deep water trying to multitask drinking beer and working a spoon under the lights, when I felt something bump my shin followed by a burning sensation. Looked down and didn't see any blood so I kept fishing, and the next thing I remember I woke up in the car around 9am...with puncture wounds and dried blood on my leg.

Anyways, I'd love some help identifying the creature responsible. The punctures stopped at the shin bone and they're only on one side of my leg. All opinions are welcome! Thank y'all cheers

edit: picture was from today... punctures hit bone

I have so many questions...

Why are there lights?
How are you drinking a beer and fishing a spoon?
How could you have gotten to the car?

Probably a stingray, to actually answer the question.

1. I use headlights & spoons to catch blues or ladies for bait
2. Beer belt... Sip on pauses
3. I assume alcohol probably helped and then the "oh [censored] what happened" got me

Haven't considered a stingray, thanks!

I'm going along with a Ray here. Instead of the tail spearing you, the top Barbs on the tail scraped ya. But whatever it was....watch for infection and stay out of the water till it heels. No one wants to be a statistic to Vibrio.

From 3am to 9am you don't remember nothing? wow...
