Thats a good way of putting it. I can play buy another chatterbait, I do have a hard time of letting things go. I even have sand and rocks of places Ive been deployed to that I can't get rid of, even my dogs collar when she was a little puppy lol.

I two scored my PB recently, and my favorite jig and already been repainted, new rattles and skirt..Logic lends the success with me, im not retiring me..I reject your reality, i reject your reality and insert my own!!

I didn't even know retiring a lure was a thing. You guys are way too sentimental.

I only have 3 retired lures.

One is the bait I caught my first 2 10 pounders on (in the same day) and it produced a 36 pound limit that day.
Another is the bait I caught a 10.50 28" monster on during the dead of summer.
And the last is a crankbait I have caught well over 500 fish on. I would still be using it but it leaks now.

I have one other bait that's got to be nearing the 500 mark as well but its still tied on and on the deck of my boat as I type this.

Only you can decide if its worth retiring or not.

Regardless of success, my lures always retire at the bottom of the lake...
