I have had a lot of questions sent to me about Livescope installation and transducer placement. I threw this together in a hurry so excuse the poor quality editing and filming.

See new post

Livescope transducer orientation.

I appreciate the effort you made to create this video and the information you provided. It certainly helped me understand what I am seeing better.

Do you have a source for that minn kota pontoon mount? I did a google search for it and was unable to find it. I made a mount using ram mounts but your solution is more stable than the one I created.

I tell yeah, I have watched nearly all the livescope youtubs out there and no one covers this topic. 2 questions:

1) So on the view below, I drop bait on left, right, or center of brush pile in front of boat (the black brush pile), I see my bait as such as you say. But if you drop in center, you don't know if bait is right over brush pile, or in front of it, or back of it. But if you turn it 90 degrees right, now my view is if I see bait on right it is in front of the pile, on the left it is on back of the pile. Right?

2) Sometimes with view above, I see my bait going down, then it just disappear like 15 foot down. You know why? I have to reel it back up and drop it back down again to see my bait.

When my bait disappears as it gets deeper, the wind or undercurrent is moving my lure. I adjust the xducer to see the final placement. Ernest, thanks for the video. Tim

One 10-pounder is better than ten 1-pounders; but 100 1-pounders is ok too!

I think it had a problem because I couldnt play it. Said something about no available supported video formats. Even though Im using an iPad, that doesnt ever happen with YouTube videos that I can recall. Hopefully if that was the problem, Ernest will fix it and redo the upload.

I'm not sure what happened but I will find out.

Something to watch while you wait.

Think how many more we might have caught with livescope (or less)
