Brent and myself went fishing this past weekend. Beautiful weather. 1MPH winds. Did a little trolling for Crappie and caught 20. If you have never trolled next to a bridge it is a different adventure, but you know you have them when they bit. Used Live Scope and well, they were there but quit biting. Thought I would share.

I went on 5/31 and caught 6 but was only there for about an hour, the next two days I went out earlier, about 7:45, and caught 15 Saturday and 16 on Sunday. I let go a bunch that were about the size of my hand but I would say over half of mine were swallowing the hooks which was aggravating. Anyways, glad to see you did well. Hopefully Ill see you out there one day.

Not sure where you went, but if you notice in the video I am trolling. Basically I put 2 weights on a swivel (need some weight to keep the line down as you troll). Then I make a 1 foot lead with a jig on the end. I do the same if using minnows. they will attack it and do not have time to swallow it. Working on making my own jigs with a better hook than the one that I use. That is the only problem I have is loosing them when on top. If any slack even trying to net them they are off and gone. I have been out there for about 2 months now and only one time did I not limit and that was because of the wind. I'll send you a PM and maybe we can get together and hit it. BTW, I just sold my house in Whitehouse, lived off Hummingbird Ln. In Tyler now.

Nice job. That crappie hole had my heart thumping. Tim

I was on under the same bridge, the long 155 bridge. I usually stay on the northern side of the bridge until winter then move to the southern side. I honestly can usually get close to a limit, if not limit out on that bridge every time. I mainly use minnows and catch flak for it the whole time by the regular old men out there haha, Im constantly told im cheating. Anyways ya send me a PM and when I go Ill let you know, Im on Ruby there in Waterton and its been nice since I moved there a year ago

Tim, that little honey hole, shown on the livescope, is one of my "go to" places. It is normally productive several months out of the year. I go there often and it still gets my heart rate up every time I pull up to it.

Honestly the only time it is not good is in spawning season. I fish this May-Feb. Just need to be ready for some cold. Now that I have livescope that might change as a nice wind makes you think twice about being there when it is 20 degrees! haha

We fished 5/30-6/4 and wore the crappie out. The bridge was loaded each day. Also found them on brush in 12-16' as well as under docks. Can't beat dock shooting. It was tough finding docks that I could actually get under though with the water level being a little bit above normal. All in all it was a fun 6 days. Cleaned over 200 something between the 2 of us.
