The LFA members fished on a new format Big Bass tournament for the first time. Paying 4 places for both the Boaters and Co-Anglers with added monies from our treasury. Today the weather was strange.
Last evening the area was hit with high winds and tornadoes. One member was actually late because he had to cut his way out of his property from the three trees that were knocked down on his driveway.
The weather started out with very heavy mist and cloudy for about 4 hours. But once it cleared it go hot real fast.
This was a one fish tournament.
Boaters
1st place went to Jack White of Farmers Branch with a 7.29 LB caught on a fluke in one foot in vegetation..
2nd place went to Galen Smith of Alba with a 6.03 LB caught on a T-rig worm caught in one foot of water.
3rd place tie went to Don Overstreet of Sulphur Springs with a 4.35 LB caught on a black lizard.
4th place tie went to Tom Charlebois of Winona with a 4.35 LB on a jig.
Co-Angles
1st place went to Jackie Price of Alba with a 7.70 LB caught on a C-rig baby brush hog in a foot of water.
2nd place went to Wallace Dyer of Yantis with a 6.64 LB caught on a t-rigged worm caught in shallow water.
3rd place went to Bob Lambert of Lavon with a 4.35 LB caught on a square bill crankbait.
4th place went to Alf Tuggle of Trophy Club with a 3.73 LB caught on a swimming worm in shallow water.
Three members were skunked today but most had a good time catching many fish.
The LFA fishes every Thursday throughout the year on two different formats. On the 5th Thursday we fish special tournaments.
