What is the best way to rig this up for optimal performance? I have the trolley system on my kayak just wondering the best way to attach the anchor to line and line to trolley system.

I just tie a loop knot in my anchor rope at the opposite end of the anchor and use a SS carabiner to hook it to the anchor trolley. Having a float just before the loop knot is handy in case you need to disconnect from your anchor rope for whatever reason you don't lose your anchor.

You get out of it what you put into it!

I adopted this idea from Ty on YouTube and I have used it ever since.

Nothing worse than having a hank of anchor line in a big pile on the floor of your kayak.

The parts to build this are all cheap.

Ty shows two different sizes. I'd recommend the one he builds using the red/orange fish marker float.

There are many ways to use an anchor trolley. It's like asking what's the best way to use a rifle? You consider the trolley a tool and then you consider your specific application. A guy using a trolley in a pond in a 5 mph wind is different than someone using one in salt water or then again different than someone using a trolley on a river or again on the flats.

Moving water I like this approach: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OuPqqvZZXx8

While I run a Micro Power Pole another anchor pin in an anchor trolley off of the nose of the boat and I'm pinned between two poles on the flats with spectacular boat positioning control.

I also use a Micro Power Pole in combination with an Anchor Wizard like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MK53Vwr4bBo

A trolley with a drift sock is also a great combo.

It's about options that are available to you and using the best approach for your current situation.
