Okay, I have a question for a guru. What type of water do shad spawn in? shallow or deep? Ever seen shad spawn in submerged standing timber? Thanks

they spawn shallow.. if you want to see where they spawn, ride along banklines on your lake abt an hour before daybreak.. the water will be boiling so to speak with the activity. sounds like shrimp popping around on top of the water.. spawn can go on 5-6 weeks in spring and can also occur in fall.. as soon as daybreak hits everything stops.

COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

Don't shad spawn 2-4 times a year here in the south?

I’ve seen that very thing near the boat ramp around daybreak in years past. The description is spot on.
