Has anyone had any luck bass fishing there recently? Ive only been on the lake once this year and it was tuff fishing. I know the lake went from almost dry to back a normal pool. But they seem to keep letting water regularly. Anyone done any good with the spawn an the lack of reeds.

I haven't had much luck myself. I've been out there the past two weekends and tuff fishing both times. So, I'm thinking of finding another lake to fish this weekend....Maybe Limestone, or Fairfield...dunno yet.

They kept letting water out of the lake. I wish someone would explain why. I have had a hard time getting a good bite in the last three trips out. A few guys said that you got to fish off shore and very slow.

The only explanation I've heard from the tradinghouse facebook. Is whomever has controlling authority of the dam is letting it out in expectations of more rain coming. I have no clue why its not like there are house's that would flood if the lake got up 8 ft or so. My guess would be they are getting concerned about the structure of the dam itself. I know battle lake collapsed a few years back.

It doesn't catch a lot of water as it is.

It doesn't help that this tiny lake is getting hammered now with Lake Waco closed.

I sure wish someone would find why they kept letting water out of Tradinghouse? The county wants to do a lot of park improvement but if it becomes a pain in the rear to put your boat in and the fishing goes south people will quit going out there and the dopers will most surely return and screw everything up. I did not know about Fairfield, I was planing on going there because of what is going on at Tradinghouse but now I not sure what to do.

Only fished from about 8am to 1130 until storm ran us off. Better than the last 3 trips. Caught a half dozen 13" fish.
