I read about someone getting a new upper and lower cap put on their Range from Range is that very costly. Also would you buy a recaped boat?

Know of the boat your talking about, and yes I would. Basically he got a new hull and top cap, might have got new seats along with that. Alot of times you get a newer model hull, so the hull will say 18.

most of the time when a hull is replaced by a manufacturer it will carry the original serial number of the replaced hull different manufacturers have options on how to do it.

If you get a new Hull and cap isn't that a new boat? No. Its a new hull and top cap with a bunch of aged **** hidden in it waiting to break down. Its barely better than an original hull, if its even better at all. Sometimes stuff gets damaged transferring from one to the other.

The real question is why did it happen. If the manufacture covered it it was a defect that could happen again
