Myself and buddy Jeff fished Lady Bird Lake from 9am till 3p. The bite was good from 10:30a till 12noon. It slowed down a lot from noon till 3p. We caught about 50 fish including five bass. We launched on the west side of IH 35 and fished up river. The sunnies were holding close to the bank in weed beds and next to overhanging tree limbs. Fish were in 5 to 8 feet of water. All of the males were urinating after the catch. It appears the spawn is on. Current was strong and the water was mostly stained but clear in some parts. Bluegill in the 8 to 9 inch range,Redear in 8 to 11 inch range,Redbreast in 8 to 10 inch range, and the bass were in the 2 to 5 pound range. Soft plastics Chartreuse/Black and Green Rooster Tails got the best results. All fish were released. Love fishing the Austin area! woot

Nice post Curtis. It's great having a lot of places to fish especially after what happened to Dunlap. taz Looks like I will be spending a lot of time fishing creeks and small rivers. thumb
